MOL Vidi FC rounded off the Spanish training camp with a 2-0 win over Chinese opponents.
It was a busy Friday with two games planned for Marko Nikolic' squad. The morning game with the Chinese U25 international side ended in defeat. Vidi fielded the following team for the afternoon fixture against Chinese first division side Dalian Yifang: Kovácsik – Nego, Juhász, Fiola, Stopira – Nikolov, Elek, Pátkai – Huszti, Milanov – Scepovics.
The first chance of the final friendly arrived after 13 minutes when Zhang' shot was cleared by Fiola. The Chinese defence were then made to work 10 minutes later. Milanov had the ball, which eventually found its way to Huszti, who aimed for the far post, but Shuai Li sprinted in and he ended up hitting his own keeper in the head, but the ball did not end up in the back of the net as the ball bounced over the goal. The game was a half an hour old when Stopira started a move on the left and found Milanov. The Bulgarian midfielder crossed into the middle for Scepovic, but his headed was collected by Zhang. A Nego pass after 36 minutes found Nikolov, who showed good skill before hitting a left footed shot from 15 meters, but his effort did not hit the target. There were no further chances in the first half with the sides locked at 0-0.
The Chinese side made changes at the break but Marko Nikolic sent the same team out for the second half. It was 8 minutes old when a Huszti free kick arrived at Juhasz, but the sub keeper, Yu saved. The Chinese right flank was active on 62 minutes when a low cross in was cleared away for a corner by Juhasz. The breakthrough came after 65 minutes for Vidi. Scepovic crossed from the right and Huszti was well placed in the middle to calmly find the corner of the net (1-0). The forward could have scored himself after 69 minutes when a Nego cross was met with a Scepovic shot that Yu got down well to save. Hodzic came on and after 73 minutes flicked on a Huszti corner, which just crept past the post. A Zheng free kick on 81 minutes was collected by Kovacsik in the Vidi goal.
The game was wrapped up in the 90th minute with a second goal. Nego crossed for left back Stopira to make it 2-0 and end the Spanish training camp with a win. The squad will fly back to Hungary on Saturday evening.
