Videoton progress in the league cup

Group C came to its conclusion on Wednesday evening with both Videoton FC and MTK making it into the last eight of the competition. One of the main surprises was the fact that Győri ETO failed to qualify from their group, after their second place finish was not good enough. Kaposvar were another side to do well topping Group B, ahead of Pecs, Siofok and Ferencvaros. 

Here is a look at the outcome of the five groups, and the teams that went through to the next stage

The league cup will continue in the spring season with a knock out system. The quarterfinals will be played on a two-legged basis, with the first leg taking place on the 22nd February, and the second leg on the 7th March. MTK, who finished second behind Videoton, will not be paired against us.
