The two sides have met 16 times so far in the first division. There is a Vidi player that has played in each of those 16 matches.
THE FIRST MATCH BETWEEN THE TWO
The first match between the two came on the 27th August 2006 at the home of league newcomers Paks. Vidi could not break the deadlock in the first half. Goals from Csaba Csizmadia and Illes Sitku secured a 2-0 win for Videoton in the second half. That was also the first Vidi win of the 2006/2007 season, which came in the 4th weekend of the season. The first Sostoi game came in the same season, when Paks took the lead after 11 minutes through Tamas Kiss, before Vidi levelled in the 81st minute with a goal from Attila Kuttor.
THE FIRST PAKS WIN
Paks secured their first win over Videoton in the following season. It was Vidi that led with a 45th minute Eger own goal, but they equalised through Buzas on 48 minutes, before Attila Tokoli won it with a 93rd minute goal for Paks.
MATCH THAT HAD THE MOST GOALS
There have been two games that have seen 5 goals scored in them. The first was on the 4th October 2008, when Kiss put Paks ahead after 7 minutes. It was Vidi that were to be happy in the end, with two goals from Vujovic, Sitku and Kulcsar. The other match was in the 2013/14 season with a similar result in Szekesfehevar. Another Vidi player scored two that day in the form of Nemanja Nikolics, who scored his double in the space of three minutes. Juhasz and Gyurcso also found the back of the net, while the consolation goal came from Konyves in the 90th minute.
BIGGEST EVER WIN
That came on the 24th July 2011 in what was Paulo Sousa's first game on the Videoton bench. Nagy, Polonkai and Hidvegi were forced to miss the match, with their places going to Szakaly, Vasziljevics and Vasko. The match ended in a comfortable 4-0 win for Vidi. Vasziljevics scored two, while Alves and Nikolics also scored that day. Roland Szolnoki made his debut in the first division on that day for Vidi.
THE VIDEOTON PLAYER THAT HAS PLAYED IN ALL 16 MATCHES BETWEEN THE TWO
That is none other than Tibor Heffler, who has played those games in the shirt of Paks. The last game between the two ended in a 2-2 draw, with Heffler among the scorers for Paks, while Zsolt Haraszti scored for Vidi in that match. He looks like facing Videoton on Saturday evening.
THE BATTLE OF THE TWINS AND A POSSIBLE 100 MATCHES
Vidi midfielder Adam Simon and his twin brother Andras Simon who plays or MVM Paks, so Saturday could see the twins come face-to-face. Another interesting feature is that both players play in the number 46 shirt. Adam Simon could make his 100th first division appearance in the weekend game. This is not the first game this season that sees brothers playing against each other. The Nyiregyhaza - Vidi game saw Gyorgy Sandor and Istvan Sandor both play for the opposite team.
