Videoton and DAC share a pre-season friendly draw

Marko Scepovic scored a 7th minute opener for Vidi, which was cancelled out by Bayo after 13 minutes.

The third summer friendly of the pre-season saw Vidi come up against Europa League bound Dunaszerdahely on Tuesday evening. Marko Nikolic fielded the following team: Kovácsik – Nego, Vinícius, Fiola, Stopira – Anel Hadzic – Nikolov, Pátkai – Huszti – Marko Scepovics, Lazovic.

The first action came on 7 minutes as Videoton took the lead. Hadzic passed the ball to Lazovic, who played it into the path of Marko Scepovic, who controlled the ball well before powerfully finding the top right corner from 8 meters (1-0).

DAC also took advantage of their first chance after 13 minutes. Pacinda played Bayo in who rolled the ball past Kovacsik from 14 meters out to make it 1-1. A precise Ljubicic hgh ball found Pacinda unmarked on 27 minutes, but he could not lift the ball over keeper Kovacsik. Huszti had a chance for Vidi a couple of minutes later as he shot from distance hit the post.

Manager Marko Nikolic did not make any changes at half time while the opponents made on change in goal with Macejt Slancik coming on. A cross from the left after 56 minutes was volleyed at goal by Pacinda, but it produced a very good save from Adam Kovacsik to deny him from 13 meters out. A Lazovic pass moments later found Marko Scepovic, who played himself in between the two centre backs, but his shot did not find the back of the net. There were 20 minutes left of the game when Ljubicic again played in Divkovic, who saw his effort parried by Kovacsik for a corner. That proved to be the final chance of the game with the final score ending in a 1-1 draw.
