Two important games this week

Videoton face an away game at Siofok on Wednesday, while they entertain Pecs on Saturday

Wednesday 17th August 2011 19:00pm - Siófok - Videoton FC

Siofok opened up their season in the second weekend, losing to Papa. However, they then went on to beat Ujpest at home by a single goal the following weekend. Győri ETO, who have picked up maximum points this season, were made to fight for the three points in their win at Siofok last weekend. Siofok picked up a respectable point away at last season's runners up, Paks. Wednesday's match is sure to prove difficult, as it is never easy winning at the Balaton based side. Vidi have lost both their away games so far this season. It has been a while since Videoton have won away at Siofok, which last happened on the 4th August 1997, when a single Urbonas goal was enough, or rather it has been 14 years since Vidi picked up maximum points there. There have been six league games since, and an overall record of three draws and three defeats. The aim is simply to win on Wednesday and turn the stats on its head, and for Videoton to pick up their first away win of the season.

Saturday 20th August 2011
17.30pm - Videoton FC - PMFC

It has been five years since we last entertained Pecs at the Sostoi stadium in a first division fixture. Pecs last visited Fehervar on the 19th August 2006. Vidi came back from two goals down to gain a point, thanks to goals from Farkas and Sitku. Pecs were last able to win twenty years ago, back on 24th August 1991, at the Sostoi. Pecs have proved to be a surprise team in the league this season. They were promoted last season, and have opened up the new campaign in positive fashion. The southern based club picked up maximum points from their first four matches, drawing Saturday's match against Kecskemet, in a match where on loan Vidi player Gyurcso, scored a double for KTE.
