Two goal friendly defeat against Bochum

Vidi played their third friendly match of the winter pre-season against German opponents.

Vidi faced German Bundesliga 2 side VFL Bochum on Wednesday, which was the third friendly game of pre-season. Manager Joan Carrillo played the following side: Kovács – Fiola, Musliu, Vinícius, Hangya – Nego, Elek, Milanov – Kovács István, Hodzic, Bamgboye.

The game was 15 minutes old when birthday boy Loic Nego stood behind the ball at a free kick from 21 meters. However, his shot went wide of the post. Blum flicked the ball on from a 24th minute throw, which found its way to Gamboa on the right, but his shot went into the side netting. Bochum pressed forward with 30 minutes on the clock and Saulo fed Blum with the ball, who sent a sharp ball into the middle for the arriving forward, but they could not make contact. Milanov controlled a cross ball before shooting from distance, but keeper Riemann saved.

There were no changes made at the break by Vidi, while the German side made several. Hangya clashed with Wintzherimer inside the box, which the referee pointed to the spot for. Pantovic powerfully scored from the penalty even though keeper Kovacs got a hand to it (0-1). A free kick for Bochum after 69 minutes found Tesche who tried his luck at goal, but Kovacs was well placed to deal with it. A move after 82 minutes was an almost carbon copy of the previous one but this time Tesche was on target to beat Kovacs (0-2). A Petryak free kick three minutes later was met by the head of Patkai, but Drewes saved. That was the last moment of interest in the game and the German side emerged 2-0 winners.

The final friendly in Spain will be played on Saturday afternoon at 14.30pm against another second division German side, Stuttgart.
