Gyorgy Mezey and Laszlo Prukner thought a draw was a fair result.
Gyorgy Mezey: "I have to say that we gave Ferencvaros a one half advantage, which they took full use of. I cannot explain the tension in our game. However, we managed to play our own game in the second half, with Fradi unable to attack our goal. The result of 1-1, which was a fair result, was down to us not being able to convert the chances that came our way. A goal gives everyone tremendous energy and the players can play more freely. I am convinced that had we scored the first goal, the result would have been different. I could say that I expected more, and I was hoping for the 3 points. However, I cannot say that I am unsatisfied. I am not delighted, but life doesn't end just because we drew today."
Laszlo Prukner: "Today's game was played in a good atmosphere, with battling football in places, in front of a great crowd. I felt on the whole, that we deserved the point, especially based on our first half performance. I asked the players at half time, not to allow the opponents to come at us, but this did not materialize. Videoton had several chances, and they took one of them. We tried to change our tempo following the equaliser, but we did not manage to do that. There wasn't too much opportunity, and in the end a draw was the correct result."
