The new league season will kick off on July 15th

The management of the Hungarian FA have accepted the starting date of the 15th July for the new 2011/2012 league season. The new autumn season will have 18 rounds, while the spring will be six shorter, with just 12 weekends. The 2011/2012 autumn season will end on the 4th December 2011. This season's Super Cup has been set for Saturday 9th July, with an 18:00pm kick off. The venue will be set at a later date. The Monicomp league champions will meet the Hungarian cup winners, but if a club manages to win the league and cup double, then the champions will play the league runners up. The League cup has also changed with four second division sides due to take part, making a total of twenty sides participating in the competition. Clubs taking part in the Europeans cups, will not come in to the competiton at a later stage, and the matches are planned to be played on the international dates. This seasons league champions, who hopefully will be Videoton, will enter the Champions league at the second qualifying stage, with the first leg due to be played on July 12-13th. The return leg will take place a week later on the 19-20th July. There is sure to be a busy schedule in July for the side who wins the league championship.
