The first league match:
The first game took place on the 9th June 1968 in the first division. The game in Budapest ended in a 3-1 home win with Vidi's goal coming from Laszlo Karsai.
The first Vidi win:
That did not take too long to come with the return match in 1968 producing a win. The game in Szekesfehervar on the 24th November saw goals from Pinter and Bodnar secure a 2-0 win against MTK.
Biggest ever win:
That happened quite recently on the 23rd August 2014 at the Sostoi stadium. The 5-0 home win resulted in the largest ever win over MTK in a season that ended with the league title. The most recent game also provided a 5-0 win for Videoton back in April 2016.
There have been several matches that have seen wins by a four goal margin. The first was in the 1982-83 season in week 8 of that campaign. Goals from Zsinka, Szabo, Csuhay, Csongradi, Disztl L and Majer resulted in a good 6-2 win at home. March 1985 also produced a game with goals. A double from Szabo and Burcsa helped the home side to a 4-0 win. A hatrick by Petres in September 1988 and a further goal from Jonas also produced a 4-0 home win. The most recent game that saw a four goal margin was in the 2008-2009 season after week 23. Vidi won 4-0 away from home on the 17th April 2009 with three goals from Goran Vujovics and a Denes Szakaly goal.
