There was not too long to wait until the first success against the lilacs. That came in the following season when Vidi won 3-0 in Szekesfehervar. Vidi also took the points at the home of Bekescsaba in the away match.

That happened almost 12 years ago on the 3rd October 2004. The first division match was played at home and Vidi took the three points. Hercegfalvi scored twice in the first half as Videoton led 2-0 at the break. Balazs Toth scored the third, while Koller hit two in the last 10 minutes to make it 5-0. Current Vidi head coach Ferenc Horvath played in that match. Vidi also beat Bekescsaba 1-0 on the 11th June 1994, with Horvath scoring the only goal of the match.
