Tamas Peto: The players will give their all on the pitch

The head coach spoke ahead of the match with Lech Poznan and also about what the most important tasks have been in recent days.

The last few days have not been without events at the club and for you as well. Did you have to think a lot before you took on this task?

Things happened very quickly since Saturday's league game with Vasas. I did not think for a minute since they asked me to take on the temporary position of head coach. I would like to help the club, the team and naturally this is a massive chance for me as well.

What was the first thing you had to do in your new position?

The most important thing over recent days was to try and put the player's heads in order. These players won the league title two months ago. The whole city celebrated because of them and they have not forgotten how to play football. They are still the best but they have to believe this once again. I would not really like to go into details about the last few weeks, but rather look ahead. We have not had too much time, but I feel that they are now thinking back on the right direction. We will have to play with freedom and this how they will play on Thursday.

What can you promise for the game with Poznan

Well no miracles for sure. I am sure that the supporters will see a team play against Lech Poznan that will be giving their all for success. We are not weaker than Lech Poznan in any way, but we all know that we are ahead of a very big challenge. I have seen determination on the faces of the players over the last few days. I feel that they would all like to prove to themselves, the supporters and the whole of Hungary. We will go out there on Thursday to win the match.

What do you expect from the opponents?

Lech Poznan are the defending champions in Poland, which I am clear about and they have a very good team. At the same time we know that they are not in the best of form at the moment. I am sure that it will mean a lot to them that the match will not be played behind closed doors, but in front of thousands of supporters who will be backing them. We could come out of this situation well, as the many supporters can fire us up and we know that we will have supporters coming from Szekesfehervar, which means a lot to us.
