The two head coaches shared their thoughts shorty after the final whistle.
Szabolcs Huszti:
"Everyone was aware of how important a win would have been for us. Unfortunately, we made a lot of technical mistakes on the pitch, but we still took the lead through Csongvai and we should have kept it, especially in our situation. Many times we did not think ahead after conceding the ball, we did not play forward, but rather took the ball backwards, which we did not ask the team to do. Today, the opponents only had opportunities from our mistakes, such as the offside at the start of the game, and then we conceded again from a counter attack. At 1-0 we also had some great chances, which we should have made the most of, especially at a time like this, but unfortunately we didn't manage to do that today."
Zsolt Hornyák:
"I feel a sense of loss after the final whistle. I think we were one goal better tonight, despite Vidi being a strong team. We dominated the game, we scored two goals early in the game, unfortunately the VAR disallowed them. We freshened up at the break, Zahedi was not dangerous today, and we want to gradually load Kern and integrate him - but I would like to say that the young player is training very well, I love his game. So the boys worked well, but we gave the ball away before the corner, and then Stronati was careless and gave space to Csongvai. You shouldn't do that, it's a very big mistake, plus we've been preparing for set play's this week. We changed the formation, Slagveer and Komáromi came on the wing and Bartolec came on for Mezgrani. It was only a matter of time before we equalised and went on to score the winning goal, which unfortunately we couldn't get. I feel that we left points in Fehérvár today."
