Relegated Haladas are the opponents in the final league game of the season

MOL Vidi FC will bring the OTP league season to a close with a visit to Szombathely on Sunday.

MOL Vidi FC will play Szombathely Haladas on Sunday 19th May at 17:00pm. Haladas have been a first division side since 2008 but relegation was confirmed in week 32 of the current season, which means they will wave goodbye to the top league after 11 years. They have had two different half seasons: the autumn produced just 9 points from 14 games while 20 were collected over the spring. That puts them joint third place over the second half of the campaign.

They have won 6 of the last 8 games and lost only to Vidi and Ferencvaros. However, they did suffer a late goal against Paks that put the final nail in the coffin. There was also a defeat away at Mezokovesd. Sunday's game could be keeper Gabor Kiraly's last one as the 43 year old picked up an injury recently that makes him doubtful for the weekend game. Another player likely to be missing through injury is Bosnjak Pedrag. Salata Kornel suffered an injury back in March while third choice keeper Marton Gyurjan and Kristian Kolcak are also out. Peter Halmosi has not been a squad member since the 13th February.

The Haladas squad according to transfermark.de has Bulgarian international Ivan Galin as the most valuable on 350,000€. Just behind are Habovda, Bosnjak, Rui Pedro and Holodiuk all on 300,000€. Top goalscorer with 6 to his name is forward Tamas Priskin. However, the Canadian Table has Bamgboye on 8 (4+4). Winter arrival Rui Pedro is behind him on 5+2. Priskin is next with 6+1. Habovdae has played the most minutes (2565) for Sunday's opponents. Following him with 2156 is Jagodics. Winter arrivals Rui Pedro, Ivanov and Holodiuk turned out to be key players for the green and whites over the spring.

David Mohl is the only player to have Vidi connections from the current Haladas squad. However, manager Ferenc Horvath had three spells with the red and blues as a player and later returned to be manager. His assistant is Tamas Szamosi who worked in Szekesfehervar in the 2015-2016 season.
