The experienced match official will take charge of the important league match at the weekend
Peter Solymosi will referee Saturday's OTP league match at Haladas. Vidi will be looking to take home all three points against the Szombathely side, knowing that a win could push them back in to the top three in the league table.
The 38 year old official from Veszprem, took his refereeing badge back in 1995. He made his debut in a youth game in the autumn of 1997, between Varpalota and Badacsonytomaj. Solymosi then quickly made his way to the senior level and third division football. The experienced official took control of a first division game for the first time in 2002. That was in a match between MTK and Matav Sopron. He was the official in last season's 3-0 Vidi home win over Debrecen. Solymosi was also handed, perhaps the toughest fixture in Hungarian football last autumn, when he took charge of the Ujpest vs Ferencvaros derby match. He has also been appointed referee in two of Videoton's games last season. Those were the game with ZTE, and the away match at Haladas, which ended in a 2-0 win for the home side.
