Paulo Vinicius: I want to say farewell tonight with a win

- You will play for the last time in a Vidi shirt at the MOL Arena Sosto tonight. How are you preparing for your farewell game?

This is a special day for me, because as a young guy, I arrived in Hungary at the age of 21 and I would not have dreamed that I would wear the Vidi shirt until I was 30 years old. At the same time, I have done this with great pride for the last 9 years, and Szekesfehervar has become my real home, where I have spent most of my adult life so far. I am full of emotions, I owe a lot to the fans who welcomed me from the first minute and looked at me as a family member throughout. I want to say goodbye to Vidi with a winning match. On paper, though, but believe me, this will be one of my most important matches. I made my debut as a winner in Vidi in 2011, I was able to make my debut in a winning match at the beginning, and I want to say goodbye with victory tonight.

- You mentioned that Vidi and Szekesfehervar have been your home for the last 9 years. What are the things that are most memorable to you from this period?

It would also be difficult to list everything that has happened to me since 2011. Of course, I am very proud of the two championship titles, the cup victory, the Super Cup victory, the two EL group stages, but I also got Hungarian citizenship. I was able to make my debut in the national team, in 2017 I became a member of the HLSZ Season Dream Team following the votes of the fans. I scored the best goal for Vidi in 2015. As a defender, my primary job was to prevent my opponents attackers from scoring, but I was able to score more than a dozen times for Vidi. I like to remember every goal, but maybe my goal against Sporting is what I would highlight, as I scored it at a very young age. Against an EL group stage side and against an extremely strong team, here at the Sosto, home of Vidi.

Important events have taken place not only in sport, but also in my private life since 2011, as I met my wife here in Hungary and my children were also born here. I am proud to have spent most of my career at Vidi.
