The winning goal came in the 89th minute of this second summer friendly.
The second summer pre-season friendly was played on Saturday evening against Croatian first division opponents. NK Osijek will be participating in Europa League football in the summer. Manager Marko Nikolic chose the following starting eleven: Kovácsik – Bolla, Juhász, Tóth Bence, Stopira – Varga József – Berecz, Pátkai – Kovács István – Marko Scepovics, Stefan Scepovics.
The first action arrived on 9 minutes when keeper Adam Kovacsik saved a Bockaj shot that went out for a corner. The Croatians went a goal ahead a minute later when a cross from the right was headed into the back of the net by Mioc. Maric aimed for the bottom left corner after 16 minutes, but Kovacsik saved comfortably. It was Osijek that went in at the break leading by a single goal.
The following team ran out for the second half: Hársfalvi – Nego, Mocsi, Fiola, Tóth Bence – Anel Hadzic – Nikolov, Réti – Huszti – Sós, Lazovic.
Keeper Andras Harsfalvi produced a good save after 52 minutes with the young stopper equal to a shot from Strkalj, who had targeted the far corner. The 21 year old Croatian striker was again proving dangerous moments later. He hit the post from 10 meters for the team in blue and white. Strkalk was again in the thick of things after 66 minutes when he aimed for the top right, but Harsfalvi produced a good stop. The equaliser came after 77 minutes when Loic Nego went down the right and crossed into the middle for Sos, who volleyed into the back of the net. However, Strkalj would score the winning goal with a minute left to make the final score 1-2.
