It was the Felcsut's side second ever point against Videoton.
Videoton were in OTP league action on Saturday afternoon at the Pancho Arena. This time they were the visitors against the Puskas Acadamy. It was week 26 of the league season with Vidi looking to pick up points to break into the top three. The two last met on the 27th February, when Vidi earned an injury time winner and clinched a 1-0 win.
Just as was the case three weeks ago, there were no clear cut chances at the start of the game. Patkai broke into the home sides’ penalty area on the quarter hour mark, before falling to the ground after being squeezed of the ball by a home defender. Referee Solymosi waved play on and the deadlock remained. Stopira then showed his power by finding himself in front of the home goal, but the ball got stuck in the defenders leg and Puskas again cleared the danger. Feczesin has two long range efforts after 23 minutes, with keeper Pajovics saving the first chance well, while the second one was parried away by the Videoton keeper, who is on loan with the Felcsut side for the spring season.
Feczesin was unmarked when he rose highest to head a pinpoint header at goal, but Pajovics pulled off a very good reflex save! The action continued as Oliveira aimed for the bottom right corner after 34 minutes, but found the keeper again equal to it. The final action of the first half saw Pauljevics cross for Pekar, who blasted over the bar from close range.
The second half began with a long range strike from Simon, which did not find the target. There were no further chances on either goal until the 83rd minute. Substitute Haraszti shot over with a free kick from 21 meters out. There were five minutes of injury time included by the match official. Puskas midfielder Markvart brought a good save out of keeper Kovacsik, which resulted in the game ending without goals.
It was the second point picked up by the Felcsut side over the course of games played between the two. Bekescsaba beat Ujpest with a last minute goal, which means that Vidi are a point from a top three place. Vasas are the next visitors to the Pancho Arena on the 30th March. That game will kick off at 18:00pm.
