The manager has named a 19-man squad for Sunday's match at Haladas
Gyorgy Mezey takes his Videoton team west to face Haladas on Sunday. Szombathely is always a difficult place to get points from, but the mood in the camp is upbeat!
Gyorgy Mezey: "I am counting on it being a battling, good tempo game on Sunday evening. It should be no different from the usual Videoton-Haladas matches. I am sure that the home side will go into the match playing with momentum, and they will be fighting to pull away from those sides at the bottom of the table. At the same time, we are also clear with our own task and position. I hope that we will be able to use our experience to get somwthing out of the match. Szombathely is a real footballing town, and there is always a great atmosphere inside the stadium, in front of a good sized crowd. Their side usually play dangerous football against their opponents. They have stalled a little recently, but this is football.
Polonkai has been included in the squad that will travel. He was forced to miss a couple of games recently, with a virus, although he has now recovered. However, Denes Szakaly will miss out after picking up an injury in the last match. Damir Milanovics has recovered from an achilles problem, while defender Andjics has been complaining about pain in his knee, but he too will travel.
19-man squad for Sunday: (keeper) Bozsovics, Sebők, (outfield players) Lázár, Vaskó, Lipták, Andjics, Izing, Hidvégi, Milanovics, Farkas, Gosztonyi, Nagy, Sándor, Polonkai, Elek, Vasziljevics, Alves, Lencse and Nikolics. | ||
