Mezey: We have a good chance in the second leg

I took it badly that we did not make more of the chances that came our way. I think that we were up against a well organised team, and this makes it even worse!! We did not do what we needed to, and we made many mistakes in the midfield, that we did not have a chance of creating any chances. One hard fact that has emerged over the last 10 games is that our forwards have not found the back of the net.

I tried to give them confidence at half time, to realise the chances that they were making. I was convinced that we could turn the game around. We managed to half do that, but at the same time, if I had to play this game over again, I would start with the same team, with the exception that I would play Lencse from the start. The midfield 4 stood in a line, with Gyorgy Sandor organising things. This was a mistake. Despite everything, we should have come out of this game with a victory. I remain confident that the second leg in Maribor will be different, as they will have to play another style, which means that they will come at us more with attacks. We will have to deal with these and go on the counter attack. We have the players to do that. I feel that we have a good chance in the second leg, next week.
