Three second half goals was enough to secure a good win at the Nagyerdei stadium.
Videoton played the 11th league game of the season away at DVTK, which also represented the end of the first third of the season. The game was not played in Miskolc, but in Debrecen as DVTK are currently having a new stadium being built. Vidi went into the game leading the table against ninth in the league Diosgyőr. Missing through injury were Paulo Vinicius and Istvan Kovacs.
The game started off quietly with the first real chance arriving after 17 minutes. Roland Ugrai went down the wing following a quickly taken free kick, before hitting a lovely shot that ended up going in off the bar to put the home side ahead (1-0).
The game did not change too much with the first Videoton chance coming on the half hour following a corner. It fell to Patkai but he could not find the back of the net. The game quietened down towards the end of the first period without any real chance of note at either end, which meant that the sides went in at the break with the home team leading 1-0.
Videoton ran out for the second half with a totally different mentality. They were fast to create a chance on 48 minutes. Henty sent in a ball from the right, which Scepovic connected with, but it was punched out by keeper Antal Botond and Tibor Nagy was able to react quicker and clear the danger ahead of Hadzic.
Kovacsik took too long to clear and the ball fell to Ioannidisz who sent his shot wide of the open goal. The game then changed following that chance as Vidi came back into the game with an equaliser. With 55 minutes on the clock, Suljic sent a cross in from the right that Scepovic met and his shot came back of the bar but the rebound fell nicely to Hadzic, who made no mistake to score into the back of the net (1-1).
Vidi continued to press and the next goal came 20 minutes later after 72 minutes: Nego sent a good cross in from the right that fell nicely into the bath of Henty, who made no mistake to make it 1-2. They went very close to doubling the lead a minute later when Suljic ran down the right again, and his cross into the middle was just missed by the Serbian forward Scepovic. Henty was forced to come off after receiving treatment on 77 minutes. He was replaced by Geresi. However, it was DVTK who managed to score next and make it 2-2 with another good goal from Ioannadisz, who gave keeper Kovcacsik no chance (2-2).
Yet another right wing cross after 81 minutes saw a dangerous ball go just behind Suljic. Nono then curled a shot wide moments later for the Miskolc team.
The deciding goal arrived after 86 minutes when Geresi again tried his luck down the right with a cross that fell kindly into the path of Patkai. The midfielder sent his low shot into the corner of the net to make it 2-3.
DVTK failed to create a serious chance in the minutes that remained. Szolnoki and Tamas both came on in the final minutes as Vidi saw the game out to pick up a good three points to remain top of the table.
