The international break meant that Vidi could play a friendly game on Friday morning.
Vidi took advantage of the international break to play a friendly match on Friday morning against NB II side Gyirmot. Those players currently away on international duty were naturally not available to play.
Marko Nikolic fielded the following eleven: Kovács D. - Hangya, Juhász, Elek, Stopira - Nego, Huszti, Hadzic, Petrjak - Pantics, Hodzic. Opponents Gyirmot included a few players in their side that had previously been with Vidi: Keeper Andras Harsfalvi left in the summer while 2011 title member Zoltan Liptak also played as did former player Adam Presinger.
The game began with a chance for Gyirmot after 3 minutes. A very quickly taken free kick took the defending wall by surprise, but keeper Kovacs was in place to make the save. Szarka got on the end of a Stopira back pass after 11 minutes on the right, and he aimed for the left corner, but again Kovacs was well placed to deny him. Vidi took the lead after 15 minutes. Huszti sent in a curling free kick from 35 meters, which was met by the head of Juhasz to make it 1-0. The Vidi captain rose the highest to make contact with it and sent the ball into the back of the net.
Herjeczki curled a ball in from 22 meters 5 minutes later, which zipped passed the right post. A long range effort from Huszti on 27 minutes went just wide of the target. The action was down the other end a few minutes later when Szarka flicked the ball onto Herjeczki, who shot well over the bar from inside the box. The visitors levelled on 37 minutes when a low Villam cross was calmly converted home by Norbert Heffler to make it 1-1.
There was still time in the first half for Vidi to restore their advantage: Hodzic released Huszti after winning possession, and his cross from the right was controlled and then dispatched into the far post to make it 2-1.
The final minute of the first half saw a cross from the left end at the feet of Pantic, who was making his debut, and the Serbian player sent his shot just wide of the left post. However, that was to be his final action in the friendly with Marko Futacs replacing him.
Hodzic broke into the box on 47 minutes and his sharp cross came off a defender and onto the crossbar, before rebounding back into play. Petryak lobbed the ball to Futacs after 55 minutes, whose half scissor kick ended up going just wide. Keeper Daniel Kovacs collected a shot from Vogyicska on the hour mark as Gyirmot also threatened at times. However, the friendly was made safe after 65 minutes when a Huszti corner was nodded home from 8 meters by Akos Elek 3-1.
Adam Mayer replaced Szarka for the visitors following the third Vidi goal. A shot a couple of minutes later by Koltai from 15 meters went wide of the goal before Kontar blasted the ball over the bar. A 78th minute Stopira cross was flicked on by Futacs, but keeper Harsfalvi saved. Gyirmot player Vogyicska hit the crossbar from 15 meters with 10 minutes remaining. Hangya then cut the ball back to Nego on 88 minutes, whose first time shot from 14 meters was tipped over by Harsfalvi.
There were no further chances with Vidi running out 3-1 winners in this friendly game.
