Manager José Gomes watched his side come from behind to beat Pecs 3-1 in the home leg.
José Gomes: We had hardly sat down before our opponents had taken the lead, but one of the best things in the match was the way we reacted to it. We managed to equalise within minutes, and soon took the lead in the match. The reaction of the team was fantastic. We then played a little bit differently to the way we had planned to, but the supporters once again saw us play the type of football in the second half, which they have become used to. I feel that it is a very good thing that both sides tried throughout the game to win, and they both attacked, which was a delight. Both sides proved that the league cup match can be exciting, with good football being played. Today's result will have no influence on the second leg on Sunday. We will be planning for that game as if the scores were 0-0. We would only make things much harder for ourselves if we were to do otherwise.
Lőrincz Emil: We played in a good match, which had several turning points in the game. Sadly it was Videoton who came out of these better, but I felt that there was more in the game. We needed to play with more confidence in the first half, but things went better for us in the second. We created several chances, and we could have scored goals, but unfortunately we did not convert them. We will do everything to get back into the tie on Sunday.
