The match official most recently took charge of the DVTK - Vidi match at the end of last year.
Experienced match official Istvan Vad was involved in three games featuring Videoton last season. The first of those was the Papa - Vidi league cup match, as well as the Videoton - Siofok and Debrecen - Vidi league matches. He has also refereed two games in the current 2013/2014 season, with the first being the September away match against Debrecen, and most recently in November, when Vidi played away at DVTK.
Vad became a member of the FIFA international group of referees in 2007, and took charge of his first European game at the age of 27. He also moved into the group of match officials for the Champions League in October 2010. He will be assisted in Sunday's big match by Vencel Toth and Peter Kobor, with the additional officials being Tamas Bognar and Zoltan Ivanyi. The fourth official will be Robert Kispal.
