The two managers shared their thoughts shortly after the final whistle.
Imre Szabics:
"We got a deserved victory with a convincing performance. We wanted to have a perfect week, we wanted to beat Paks and Zalaegerszeg in three weeks, and we wanted to qualify for the next round of the MOL Hungarian Cup in the middle of the week. We managed to get three wins, and I congratulate the team for that and for today's game. I am happy that we could serve the fans at home, and I can't complain about our performance in Fehérvár, as we are in first place in the domestic table for home wins. I'm especially pleased that we managed to finish today's match without conceding a goal. The match against Ferencváros is not on the agenda for the moment. I wished the national team players good luck and asked the other players to enjoy these two days off, during which I will also be going home to my family. Next week there will be some physical preparation and a friendly match, followed by the specific preparation for the league match against Ferencváros."
Róbert Waltner:
"Vidi showed a quality game, of course they have the players to do it. Unfortunately, we didn't show what we can do, and we played poorly especially in the attacking third. The second half was better. I asked our players at the break to be more courageous, to move more without the ball, and we had two big chances. Since ZTE got back to the NB I, we haven't scored here in Fehérvár, and this bad streak was not broken today. I'm not satisfied, the match didn't go as planned. We will continue working during the national team break. We didn't sit back after three league wins, now we have to keep going forward after two defeats. It's a league like this, apart from the top four there are ups and downs for almost every team. Whoever comes out of these ups and downs well will stay in, and whoever is stuck in this negative spiral could end up being relegated."
