The two managers gave their reaction to the match at the post-match press conference.
Imre Szabics:
“We got a well-deserved victory. We outplayed Kisvárda in the first half, and in the second half we outplayed them in terms of willpower. The team put in a performance today that I can be very proud of.“
The manager was also asked about the sending off of Stopira.
“I have never dealt with referees, and I don't want to now, because it would be passed on to the players. Since we've been working here, we've had to deal with different things every week, but I consider myself and the staff to be solution-oriented people, and I think the members of the team can sense that. Maybe that's also the reason why we were really well organised from the inside when we were a man down, how we could protect our own goal, and we were also able to lead counter-attacks from ball clearances.”
Joao Janeiro:
"It was a good and emotional game, which unfortunately we lost. For 40 minutes we were better in the first half and had chances in the second half, but we didn't score. We lost a lot of balls and made tactical mistakes, but the players did their best. I had the feeling that even if we played for 200 minutes, we could not score more goals. A counter-attack decided the match, but that's part of football, we'll keep working.."
