How the two managers saw the game

Gyorgy Mezey was satisfied with the 2-0 win over Siofok

György Mezey : "Before I talk about the game, I would like to pay a special thank you to our technical director, Endre Andre and his team, for the way they managed to clear the Sostoi stadium pitch, following the snowfall. It was important that the game went ahead on a good surface, as it suits our quick passing game. With regards to the match itself, I would like to praise Siofok's defending, which saw them play 4 and sometimes  5 players across their defence, which is not easy to play through. You need patience at times like this, and we waited and then took advantage of their errors, which saw us score two goals. Once we went two ahead, we had chances, that had they gone in, would have seen us win by a big margin. We have now reached the end of the autumn season, although this was the first game of the spring season on paper, and we looked tired a bit, but today the win was the most important."

Mihalecz : "We did not play the way we would like to today, but rather the way we need to against Videoton. We tried to build attacks on the back of a closed defence. This may seem like a bit of a suicidal tactic, but it was successful in the first half, even if the home team played better than us, they were unable to create any real chances. It appeared even then that it would be difficult to get out of this match without conceding goals. We let in two goals in those three minutes, when we were down to ten men, with one of players receiving treatment. That player should have been marking Sandor at the corner, but he was injured, and the others could not handle the situation. The game picked up a little after Videoton's second goal, as we tried to build more attacks, although without much success. We managed to come off the pitch with our heads held high despite the defeat."
