The two managers shared their thoughts on Saturday's league game at the Pancho Arena.
Henning Berg:
I think that the supporters saw a good match. An in form Haladas side were the visitors today and we managed to direct things and also score two nice goals against them. There were times in the second half when we were forced to defend, but I am pleased that we did not concede a goal. We needed Adam Kovacsik to pull off two good saves. There were also times in the match when we played well. The first 5-10 minutes did not go too well, but we took over after that. I will admit that there could have been more chances as we had attacking positions, but I am still pleased with the three points. We played a little bit more casually today than we did against DVSC, but Haladas play in a different style than the Debrecen side. We have scored the most goals in the league and nobody has picked up more points, so I feel that we will fight for the league title from a good position.
Mészöly Géza:
It was a strange situation that Vidi's best player was their goalkeeper. Istvan Brockhauser has played a part in the development of Adam Kovacsik. The home side did not create more chances than us, which tells us a lot of things. I rarely praise my side after a defeat, but I can tell the players today that they deserve the congratulations. I could see from the bench that there were some doubtful situations that perhaps did not go our way. Perhaps this is why we could not draw level. Overall the team did what we wanted to do and make things very hard for Vidi. Naturally we can learn from the 90 minutes that we can take up the challenge better against a league title chasing side.
