The Bulgarian scored the only goal in the game early in the second half to clinch a 1-0 win.
"We were counting on a difficult game and this is how it turned out. We deserve the recognition as just like in Greece, we played with intelligence throughout as well as discipline and the most important was to play patient football. We knew we would get some chances in front of the Greek goal and I am happy that I scored the goal, and it was the winning one. It was a lovely move and Vini did not only cut the ball back but it was also a fantastic ball in. We now have a great chance with this win to go through, but we still have difficult group games ahead of us. We need to fight for each and every point to achieve our dreams. This is why we work hard each day and really hard. It felt great to play in front of a packed stadium. We then celebrated at the end of the game with the supporters. Wernbloom was the first to come over to congratulate me after the final whistle. We were team mates in Moscow and are good friends. We were opponents until the referee blew for time. I think this is normal in football" - commented Georgi Milanov.
