FTC visits the MOL Arena Sóstó on Sunday

The Green and Whites won against Kisvárda at home in the last round.

In the 24th round of the OTP Bank Liga NB I, on Sunday at 17:00 the league leader FTC will visit the MOL Arena Sóstó.

The Green and Whites lead the table with a 5-point advantage after 23 rounds. With 14 wins, they have drawn 4 times and lost 5 games. So far this season we have played Ferencváros twice in the league, losing 1-0 at home and 3-0 at the Groupama Arena. Last week, FTC progressed through to the last four of the MOL Hungarian Cup after beating Budapest Honvéd 1-0 away.

During the winter transfer window, several key players arrived in the IX district, while Uzuni left for the Spanish top division. The Green and Whites also have a new head coach from January, as Peter Stöger was replaced by Stanislav Cherchesov, who was the national team manager of the Russian national team from 2016-2021, and before that, he was at Legia Warsaw, where he celebrated the 2016 title - the top scorer with 28 goals was our captain Nemanja Nikolic.

In 2022, the FTC has already played 7 league matches, as the match against Puskás Akadémia FC was postponed in the autumn due to the FTC's international participation. Ferencváros has won three league games (Újpest - FTC 0-1, ZTE - FTC 1-3, FTC - Kisvárda 2-1), while two draws (MTK - FTC 0-0, FTC - Gyirmót 1-1) and two defeats (PAFC - FTC 1-0, FTC - Paks 0-3).

Ferencváros's top scorer is Ryan Mmaee with 9 goals, who has scored against us in both league games this season - we hope to break the striker's streak on Sunday.
