Wednesday's friendly match in Felcsut kicked off at 10:30am. It was the final practice game before the new league season kicks off at the weekend. The game began at a fast pace, with Vidi forcing the Angyalfold side into defending in the early exchanges. Nikolics was caught offside in the first few minutes, while Sandor sent a powerful shot over the bar from 18 meters out. José Gomes' side went ahead after 10 minutes: Szolnoki broke down the right and passed the ball to Kleinheisler, who beat two players before hitting the ball in from the right, for the arriving Nikolics to roll the ball into the back of the net, (1-0). Kovacs showed some great skill moments later, while Kleinheisler stepped in between the defenders before being brought down for a penalty.

Nikolics hit the spot kick low to the left, but Vasas keeper Gabor Nemeth dived to save it. The 20th minute saw Sandor get hold of the ball in the opponents half. He found Kleinheisler on the right, who sent in a low ball for Nikolics to connect with and steer the ball in for the second goal, (2-0). Vidi also hit the crossbar shortly after, following a cross from the left by Mamadu, which Niko headed towards goal. Calatayud did very well to save an effort from the Vasas forward on the half hour mark. Vidi pressed forward again in search of goals. Toth passed the ball left to Nikolics, who crossed low for Kovacs to connect with, but Nemeth did well to keep that out. Nikolics had a good chance a minute later, but his low shot was blocked by the visiting defence. The final chance of the first half fell to Balazs Toth, which saw the midfielder hit a fierce shot from 35 meters out, which once again required a good save from the Vasas keeper.

Vidi manager José Gomes sent out a different side for the second half: Pajovic - Paraiba, Juhász, Szekeres, Stopira - Gyurcsó, Vítor Gomes, Zsótér, Oliveira - Zé Luis, Torghelle. The first chance of the second half fell to Vasas player Adam Martin who tested Pajovic in the Vidi goal. The Fehervar side went down the other end forcing a corner. Gyurcso crossed and the ball ended up at the feet of Zé Luis, who turned inside the box and hit the ball low, requiring another smart stop by Nemeth. The 56th minute saw Gyurcso go down the right, before beating one man and sending the ball towards the far post, where Oliveira lifted the ball back into the centre for Zé Luis to score after he hit the ball into the back of the net to make it 3-0. The Budapest club pulled one back four minutes later. Adam Martin went inside Stopira and scored from 14 meters out to get Vasas back into the game at 3-1.

Hudak replaced Zsoter during a break for the players to drink some much needed water. The score increased to 4-1 a minute later: A low ball in from the right from Oliveira was met by Zé Luis at the far post to score from close range, (4-1). Vasas player Cseke had two chances after 73 and 75 minutes, but found Pajovics in confident mood to deal with both efforts. Hudek showed good awareness to lift the ball from 30 meters out over Nemeth to increase the score to 5-1! Zé Luis came off having scored twice to be replaced by Lupeta. There was still time for Paraiba to get himself into a good position to score, but a defender managed to block the effort at the last moment, with the ball going wide of the post.

A free kick from Gyurcso after 86 minutes was flicked on well by Juhazs to give Nemeth no chance and score Vidi's 6th goal of the morning. The final minutes of the game saw Gyurcso twice escape down the right, before hitting both shots over.

Vidi picked up a confident win over Vasas to bring to an end the pre-season. The red and blues kick off the new league season on Sunday against Haladas. The match at the Sostoi stadium will begin at 16:30pm, with entry being free to the supporters.
