DVTK pick up the 3 points at the MOL Arena Sosto

Stopira gave Vidi the lead in the first half but the Miskolc side scored three times in the second half.

Vidi were in action against bottom placed DVTK in match 22 of the OTP league. DVTK most recently suffered a defeat against Ujpest, while we lost at home to MTK. Manager Gabor Marton left the club during the week and he was replaced by caretaker manager Tamas Szalai. He fielded the following side: Kovács D. - Nego, Musliu, Stopira, Fiola, Hangya - Dárdai, Houri, Pinto - Zivzivadze, Petryak.

The visitors had the first chance after 8 minutes when Vanecek was dangerous from a cross from the right and shot at goal, but Kovacs dealt with it. It was Vidi that took the lead as they went down the other end and won a free kick. Houri curling in a lovely ball for Stopira to meet with his head and make it 1-0.

Vanecek then sent a header over from 7 meters following a Markvart free kick for the visiting side. Houri played in Dardai with a fine ball on 22 minutes, but the DVTK keeper raced out and denied Dardai from curling the ball round him. Daniel Kovacs in the Vidi goal then pulled off two very good saves after 27 minutes. The first from Vanecek as he got down low to palm away an effort. The second following a cross from the wing that saw the keeper react the quickest. Marin shot from a tight angle after 32 minutes following good skill but this time Kovacs saved with his feet.

Just before half time, Petryak did well to bring Zivzivadze into play, but he could not take advantage of the chance and he shot into the side netting. Shortly later he volley wide from 13 meters. Vidi went in at the break leading by a single goal.

It was Vanecek who clashed with our keeper at the beginning of the second half inside the box. The ball fell to Markvart, but Fiola managed to clear the danger. However, the match official flagged for the foul and Vidi were awarded a free kick. A good cross from Hangya ended with Zivzivadze making an error from close range and another good chance went begging. That was not the case at the other end: Grozav had come on a minute earlier and he was on hand to head home a cross from Grgic to make it 1-1. A minute later and it was almost a carbon copy for the red and whites: Grgic again sending in a cross from the right for Grozav to rise and head home 1-2.

We pushed forward in search of the equaliser but the visitors defended well and we could not create a chance. Houri shot wide from distance after 75 minutes while Szabo tried but it was blocked by a defender. Ivanovski hit the post for DVTK towards the end but it was not the final bit of action in the game. They brought from a Vidi corner and it was Grozav who scored his third goal after 89 minutes to settle the game.

Diosgyor won at the MOL Arena Sosto with this 3-1 scoreline. We are next in action on Wednesday evening in the MOL Hungarian Cup when we travel to FTC.
