Two midfielders and one defender are joining our club from the Puskás Academy.
Dominik Kocsis was born on 21 February 2004 in Mór. Like our team captain, Csaba Spandler, he played his early youth football at Kincsesbánya, then honed his skills at Főnix Gold FC in Székesfehérvár from the age of seven. The young midfielder signed for Felcsút in 2017, where he played for the age-group teams of Puskás Akadémia FC. His talent quickly became apparent, and in the 2020/2021 season he also played for PAFC's second team. He scored his first senior goal in a 6-1 victory over Érdi VSE. In the following season, he contributed seven goals to Puskás Akadémia FC II's fifth-place finish. In the 2022/2023 season, he took another step forward by joining NB II side Aqvital FC Csákvár on a one-year loan. Meanwhile, he also successfully represented his age-group national teams (U18, U19, U21). In the 2023/2024 season, he was one of the key players of NB II side Tiszakécske, making 32 appearances and scoring five goals, but at the end of the season, Tiszakécske were relegated from NB II.
Roland Vajda was born on 5 June 2005 in Székelyudvarhely, Transylvania. Our new centre-back started playing football at the local sports school at the young age of five, then joined Székelyudvarhelyi FC at the age of ten. After finishing eighth grade, Roland moved to Csíkszereda, where he spent a year before making the big move to Felcsút and signing for the Puskás Academy. In Felcsút, he played in the U17 and U19 age groups, as well as in the NB III team. In addition, he was named Student of the Year for the 2022/2023 season thanks to his excellent grades.
He spent the season just gone on loan in Kozármisleny, where he was one of the key players of the NB II team: he played in 28 league matches and scored two goals. In 2022, he also played for the Székely national team in the gala match held at the Csíkszereda stadium to mark the opening of the new stands, which was played against the Hungarian U18 national team and ended in a 1-0 victory for Székely. Roland Vajda joins our club on a one-year loan.
Gergő Ominger was born on 25th September 2002 in Győr. He started playing football in the city on the banks of the Rába River, and between 2008 and 2017 he was a youth player for Győr, before signing for Puskás Akadémia at the age of 17. He played for all the youth teams in Felcsút, making two appearances in the NB I in the 2020/2021 season, before moving to Csákvár on loan in 2021. The midfielder scored five goals and provided three assists in 58 matches over three seasons for the Fejér County team in the Merkantil Bank Liga NB II. He is a multiple youth international and was a member of the Hungarian U17 national team that finished fifth at the 2019 European Championships, thereby qualifying for the World Cup.
He joined our team on loan last summer, but his season got off to an extremely unlucky start: in the final minutes of our Conference League qualifier against Sumqayit FK, he suffered a knee injury just a few minutes after coming on as a substitute. He underwent surgery and a long rehabilitation, returning to the pitch in the final stages of the season, in the match against FTC. Gergő Ominger will remain in the red and blue next season, as we have loaned him from PAFC for the 2025/2026 season.
We wish Dominik Kocsis, Roland Vajda and Gergő Ominger every success in the Vidi shirt!
