Videoton's two new players arrived at the club on Tuesday. The duo then signed their contracts to become Vidi players
Managing Director Sandor Berzi introduces the new signings to Vidi player Akos Elek
Both players are very keen about their plans - Bojan Djordjic who feels at home in Central Europe, (The majority of his family live in Belgrade and Sarajevo today), would like to continue his routine so far: In Serbia with Crvena Zvezda, Scotland - Glasgow Rangers, Sweden - AIK Solna all saw Bojan win the league and cup with those clubs.
He also said, that as a child he was a massive Crvena Zvezda fan, after his father played in the same team as Vladimir Petrovics, for the strong red and white side of Belgrade. He grew up in a footballing family, and was always looking through the newspapers, which put him in the picture for the international game. He also knew that Videoton had made it all the way to the UEFA Cup final in 1985. His knowledge of Hungarian football increased when he was a player at Plymouth Argyle, with Timar and Halmosi. We then turned to his years as a Manchester United player: Seeing as he grew up among the best youth players, why is he not playing games for Sir Alex Ferguson today? His answer was one of complete honesty. The midfield at the time for United was too strong. It included Beckham, Giggs, Scholes, Veron, Kleberson and more. He still keeps in touch with some of the players and attended his good friend, John O'Shea's wedding two-weeks ago.
Martin Mutumba loves Ronaldinho as a player. He would really love to score goals just like the technical Brazilian wizard. Although Mutumba has already scored some special goals in the past. The two new signings took a look around the Sostoi stadium and met up with a few of their new teammates. Dusan Vasziljevics, Daniel Nagy, Akos Elek, Adam Presinger and Ilija Radovic were just some of the Vidi players around to get familiar with. In fact Bojan was also able to speak in Serbian as well as in English to the players.
The new signings may have been a little tired after their morning, but following a late lunch, the duo will head off for another long trip to join up with the senior side at their Austrian training camp.
