Videoton's young player could get a call up to the Angola national side, ahead of the Africa Nations cup
Vidi.hu spoke to Evandro Brandao following news that he could possibly be called up to the Angola national squad.
Vidi player Evandro Brandao could get an unexpected international call up for Angola. Their international manager Lito Vidigal, would like to put together a side, which could be in with a chance of doing well in the upcoming tournament. One of those players on his list is young Evandro, who joined Videoton in the summer. He has already represented Portugal at youth level, where he currently is on holiday.
"I heard about this for the first time yesterday, when a friend of mine told me about it. He had read it on the internet that my name was one of those on a list of the international manager Lito Vidigal. Naturally I was very surprised when I heard the news, as had never thought that my name would ever come up in connection with the Angola national side. I have played for the Portuguese youth side previously, but as I did not play for the full team, that gives me a chance to feature for the Angola side. I am not dealing with this at the moment, as I have not been contacted personally yet. If this were to happen, then I would sit down with my agent, as well as my manager Paulo Sousa, and ask their opinions. One thing for sure is that this is not an everday chance, but I do not want to make a quick decision. I will speak with those whose opinions are important tom me." said Evandro.
