Our Georgian striker, who scored the equaliser in the ECL match against Cologne, highlighted the fighting spirit of the players to National Sport.
On Thursday evening, our team won 2-1 at the home of 1. FC Köln in the UEFA conference League play-off round. Budu Zivzivadze, who scored the equaliser, was interviewed by Nemzeti Sport on the day after the game.
"I have never played football in such conditions, the atmosphere was sensational. When the home supporters started to cheer, it was chilling, but I was not scared for a moment, I was happy. As a little kid, matches like that made me want to be a footballer, it was an incredible experience to play in front of forty-four thousand people and score a goal. Thursday will always be a memorable match for me, and I'm hardly alone in that. The atmosphere in the dressing room after the match was intoxicating, we were jumping, dancing and shouting, but not for long, because the match was not yet decided. At the same time, we had a lot of energy because after the defeat against Ferencváros we wanted to show the country and the world that we are a competitive team that should not be written off. The great victory came at the right time. We started the game tactically prepared, we played with concentration. I liked the fact that everyone fought for each other, we helped each other out, we were united all the time." said Zivzivadze.
