The 23-year-old Georgian league champion and national team defender arrives in Székesfehérvár from Dinamo Tbilisi.
Our club has strengthened its squad with a Georgian international defender before the start of the spring season, following an agreement between Fehérvár FC and Dinamo Tbilisi. Alexandre Kalandadze will continue his career with Vidi on loan, whom our club has an option to buy.
Kalandadze was born on 9th May 2001 in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. The 188 cm tall left-footed player, who can play in the centre of defence or on the left, came through his hometown at Dinamo's academy before signing for Diósgyőr in the 2020/2021 season at the age of 19, where he was given a chance in one cup match.
He then returned home to Dinamo Tbilisi, where he played 7 league games in the 2021 season. In the 2022 season, he played 29 games in the Georgian first division, winning the championship with Dinamo and appearing in two UEFA Conference League qualifiers. In 2023, he featured in 24 league appearances, scoring 3 goals, and also played in two Champions League and two Conference League qualifiers. In 2024, he captained the team with one goal in 29 league games. In the 2024/2025 UEFA Conference League he played in two qualifying matches.
He was a key man for Dynamo in 2022, who won the Erovnuli League, Georgia's first division. In addition to the league title, he also collected a league silver medal in 2021 and 2023.
He also played regularly for the Georgia U17, U19 and U21 national teams. He made his debut for the senior national team, winning two caps with his debut in a 2-1 defeat to Norway in September 2023.
