The Vidi keeper shares his thoughts on the 0-0 draw away at Mezokovesd.
Vidi drew 0-0 at the home of Mezokovesd FC on Saturday evening. It was the 60th clean sheet for keeper Adam Kovacsik who spoke shortly after the final whistle.
"Mezokovesd sat back and organised their defence to close down the area. They were combative when they had possession of the ball. They kept it well, which is why it was hard to play at pace against them. We could still have moved the ball around better despite this and created more chances in front of goal. It was a real big game and perhaps had one goal been scored early on, it could have opened the door to more. We could have gone ahead after 30 minutes but the two chances we did create were not converted. The outlook of the match would have been different had they gone in. Sadly there is no "if" in football and we left the stadium with a 0-0 result. We must not sit back as there is no problem drawing a derby match. However, these are just the type of games we need to win if we are to win the league title in May" - commented keeper Adam Kovacsik.
