34 year old French match official for the second leg

The experienced referee will be in charge of Thursday's second leg game with Slovan

Antony Gautier was born on the 19th November 1977. He made his debut in the French Ligue 1 at the age of 30, becoming one of the youngest ever in France to referee at the top level. His first international game arrived two years later in the 0-0 U21 match between Germany and Israel.

He was also the youngest French referee to control the French league cup final in 2011, in a match involving Marseille and Montpellier, which ended 1-0. He was also voted best referee in 2011 in his home country.

Last year, exactly to the day, and a month before his 34th birthday, Gautier made his debut in the Champions league, when he officiated the 1-1 match between Porto and APOEL. He has never been a referee in a game involving either Hungarian or Slovakian teams. Gautier will be assisted by Michael Annonier and Philippe Jeanne, while the fourth official will be Benoît Millot.
